Founders Mosaic Promise: One Hop, Many Flavors

Founders Mosaic Promise: One Hop, Many Flavors

If you follow the blog, you know Ron and I are big fans of certain hops.  Citra, Amarillo, and Centennial are some of our favorites, but nothing quite offers the amazing flavors and aromas of Mosaic hops.  Beers like Focal Banger, Fresh Squeezed, and Yellow Rose all feature this juicy, piney, floral hop.  Lucky for us, Founders is adding a new hop-centric beer to it’s release schedule — Mosaic Promise.  This promises to be a perfect beer for the summer months, and Founders describes it like this:

Citrus, tropical fruit, pine needles… the aroma of Mosaic Promise will hit you a room away. Our Brewmaster, Jeremy Kosmicki, first fell in love with the Mosaic hop back in 2014 and wanted to create a beer that celebrated its aromatic impact while showing its versatility. What better way to do that than brewing a beer using only that particular hop? The result, Mosaic Promise, was originally released as the official beer of ArtPrize, the international art festival that takes place each September in Grand Rapids, MI. It proved to be an immediate hit, prompting us to release it regularly as part of our seasonal lineup beginning in 2016.

The purity of flavor in this single hop ale is concentrated: bursting with juicy mango and earthy pine from the Mosaic hop which is carried perfectly on a simple foundation led by Golden Promise malt. Much of the flavor of Mosaic Promise comes from the aroma so, trust us, you will want to enjoy this beauty in a glass where no notes are lost to the narrow neck of a bottle. This beer is a testament to our brewers’ skills with a RateBeer score of 98. It’s clean, rich and perfectly balanced and, at 5.5% ABV, it’s extremely drinkable.

It is available May through September in six-packs with a suggested retail price of $9.99.

Make sure you get some Mosaic Promise, along with Founders’ other great offerings, this year, you’ll end up falling in love with it; that’s a promise!
